Two Breakouts in One Day, 03-08: MidcpNifty and Nifty
Two short-put breakout trades the same session — MidcpNifty for ₹2,100, Nifty for ₹1,600. ₹3,700 booked, and a reminder that two green trades pointing the same way are one bet, not two.
A weekly log of trades, lessons, and market observations — documented with an engineer's precision.

I ran the Sensex weekly condor against 11 months of data on two platforms. It came back negative-to-marginal. A plain short strangle over the same window came back better. So the condor is retired — and I want to be honest about why the number, not my attachment, gets to decide.
The breakout idea, run by hand instead of by the Rust bot. Sold a MidcpNifty put off a chart read, booked ₹1,944 — and now have to ask whether a discretionary version of a system I built to remove discretion is a good idea at all.
Same structure, same gap, same week-before-expiry decision that cost me the maximum last time. This time I took the loss at ₹1,098 on the open instead of hoping. The number is red and the trade is the best-executed one in the journal.
Sixth in the series, and the first one taken deliberately into low VIX. ₹1,087.50 of net debit, ₹3,887 of profit, a 285-point profit band — and a clear look at what falling volatility does to a structure that lives on movement.
Last week the bot fired, I bailed early out of fear, and left money on the table. Same signal this week, same 09:20 entry — and this time I sat on my hands. ₹1,469, and the only variable that changed was me.
